22 OCT '16 -CAMERON WINS 2016 UK TRAVELLER'S TROPHY SERIES
After an excellent 2nd season in the Finn Class, Cameron was awarded the Traveller's Trophy at the end-of-season dinner at Warsash SC. To make the evening even more special, Olympic Gold Medalist Giles Scott took time away from his America's Cup campaign with the Ben Ainslie Racing Team to attend the dinner and present the trophy to Cameron. The results are taken from the combined scores throughout the 7 event series during 2016, and Cameron's consistent performances that included 2 event victories meant that he just had to compete at Warsash this weekend to secure the title. |

9 MAR '17 - CAMERON TAKES DELIVERY OF NEW BOAT 'DORIS' Thanks in no small part to the generous support of sponsors Maylarch, Dash-CAE and the RAF Benevolent Fund, Cameron has a new boat, built to the latest Olympic specifications. The Devoti Fantastica hull is the same as 22 of the 23 boats at last year's Olympics, which means he'll be competing on even terms as he enters 2017 International regatta season. Cameron and father Jon headed to Suntouched Sailboats' HQ on Hayling Island to finish splicing the control lines with Rodney Cobb, before bringing the boat home to Oxfordshire to apply the sponsor's branding. Two days later the boat was ready for her first sail at Oxford SC where, despite the light winds 'Doris' felt quick, feeling very fast to accelerate out of tacks and responding well to 'pumping' manoeuvres. It's going to take some time for Cameron to get used to the differences between Doris and his old boat Gruffalo, but if early impressions are anything to go by, this should give him a good performance boost as he continues to develop his racing skills.
